*** Statement by Melissa Roxas *** A U.S. citizen and victim of abduction and torture by suspected Philippine military agents.

  • Where are your US Tax Dollars Going?

This year the US Senate wants to increase military aid to the Philippines to $33 million in part to recognize the decrease in the rate of killings and other HR abuses.

But as UN rapporteur, Prof. Alston, had stated, 'The decrease in number while a cause to congratulate, is likewise a cause to condemn because it merely shows clearly who are behind the extrajudicial killings.' Call your representatives now and let them know we should be cutting military aid to the Philippines not increasing it.
